Actor welcomes new year with nostalgic snapshots

January prompts self-reflection like no other month. With the new year bringing in good tidings, it is tempting to look back on your life's journey thus far, be it in a wistful or hopeful way. Shaista Lodhi, who shared a carousel full of her favourite moments over the years, was also affected by a similar sense of nostalgia.

"Going through my photo gallery, both past and present, I find myself reflecting on a journey that spans over two decades. I'm filled with nothing but gratitude. From one morning to the next, each step has been a blessing. Alhamdulillah for the countless opportunities to connect, learn, and grow - with each show, each network, and each beautiful moment along the way," she wrote in the caption.

The thread teemed with hosting captures and conceptual photoshoots, with Lodhi posing differently for each role that she was meant to be portraying. Ranging from a basketball player to a flower basket carrier, the Samjhota actor had smiles for days.

One surprise post that made it to the carousel was a video clip of her in conversation with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol during the Indian megastars' promotional event for their film Dilwale (2015). Lodhi helped Khan don a stylish jacket as they all joked about.

"I am forever grateful for Allah's grace and guidance throughout this journey, and for the incredible support of my fans who have stood by me every step of the way. Alhamdulillah for this beautiful ride, and for all that lies ahead," Lodhi's caption further read. "Happy New Year."

With career-spanning looks now compiled in one post, fans had many praises to dispense for the 47-year-old actor in the comments section. "Back then, you used to be very beautiful. Now you're even more beautiful," a user penned. "OMG, you look so different in these pics. I can see a very beautiful glow. Pretty," wrote another.
