Punjab increases grants for employees' welfare

RAWALPINDI:

The Punjab government has announced an increase in welfare grants for public sector employees from Grade 1 to 22.

According to an official circular,employees and officers interested in availing of these grants must submit their applications to local deputy commissioners' offices by March 31, 2025, it said.

Employees in Grades 1 to 15 will now receive Rs55,000 as a marriage grant for their daughters and Rs35,000 for funeral assistance.

Scholarships have been set at Rs6,000 for children studying up to matriculation and intermediate levels, and Rs8,000 for those pursuing graduation. In the event of an employee's death during service, the children will receive a monthly financial aid of Rs3,500.
