PTA issues update on internet disruption after submarine cable fault

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced a temporary bandwidth adjustment following a fault in the AAE-1 submarine cable system.

According to a statement released by PTA, the issue occurred on January 2, causing a disruption in the cable system. As a result, temporary bandwidth has been added to the system to ensure minimal disruption to services.

The PTA assured the public that there has been no degradation in internet services nationwide. The authority confirmed that it is closely monitoring the restoration process of the AAE-1 submarine cable and remains committed to ensuring uninterrupted services during the repair work.

PTA officials emphasized that efforts are being made to maintain service quality while the issue is being resolved.
