In response to concerns raised by students regarding the 2024 Intermediate Part-I exam results, the Chairman of the Karachi Board of Intermediate Education, Syed Sharf Ali Shah, has announced the formation of an inquiry committee to address the grievances.
Shah, who assumed office on January 3, met with Secretary of the Universities and Boards Department, Mohammad Abbas Baloch, to discuss the concerns. Following the meeting, the decision was made to establish a committee aimed at reviewing the exam results and ensuring transparency in the process.
"The committee will investigate the entire matter and address the students’ complaints within a month," said Syed Sharf Ali Shah. He emphasised that students' trust in the examination process is crucial, and the committee's purpose is to restore that confidence by ensuring fairness and transparency.
The Chairman reassured students, stating, "They are our priority and future. We will take all necessary steps to address their complaints. The committee will work impartially to make the examination process more transparent and of higher quality."
He added that the committee would thoroughly review all aspects of the examination process, including paper checking and result preparation, to ensure full transparency.
Shah also urged students and their parents to submit their concerns and suggestions directly to the board so that the committee can address them.
For students dissatisfied with their results, the Chairman advised them to submit their scrutiny forms as soon as possible at the board office's bank booth.
