Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has instructed Islamabad authorities to ensure the timely completion of the F-8 Exchange Chowk and Serena Chowk interchange projects.

During a late-night surprise visit to inspect the progress, Mohsin Naqvi emphasised working in three shifts and adding manpower to the night shift to expedite the construction.

He announced that the F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange would be fully operational by February, aiming to ease traffic congestion in the capital.

Mohsin Naqvi further directed that a prominent national flag be installed at the Serena Chowk Interchange, adding to its aesthetic appeal.

These projects are expected to provide significant relief to commuters facing daily traffic challenges.

Earlier, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced that the under-construction underpass at F-8 Sector, Islamabad, would open for traffic on 24 December.

During his visit to the ongoing projects at the F-8 Exchange Chowk interchange and Serena Chowk interchange, the minister reviewed progress at the sites. These projects are expected to significantly ease the city's traffic congestion.

The Interior Minister noted that the Serena Chowk Interchange, constructed with remarkable speed and efficiency, is set to be inaugurated next month after being completed in just sixty days.

A week ago the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to accelerate the development of eight residential sectors in Islamabad, focusing on delivering fully developed plots to allottees in a timely manner.

Sector C-14 is at the forefront of these efforts, with over 200 one-kanal plots generating more than Rs12 billion in revenue through auctions. Possession of these plots will be handed over to owners once the final installment is paid.

In a meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Thursday, senior officials and board members discussed the progress of ongoing projects.
