Nicki Minaj, the Grammy-nominated rapper, is facing legal trouble as Brandon Garrett, a former tour manager, has filed a lawsuit alleging assault, battery, and emotional distress. The incident reportedly occurred backstage at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena during Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 tour on April 21.

According to the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Garrett claims Minaj struck him in the face and on his wrist during a heated confrontation over a misunderstanding involving prescription pickups. Garrett alleges the altercation began when Minaj criticized the tour staff, leading to a verbal exchange and escalating into physical aggression.

Minaj’s lawyer, Judd Burstein, strongly denies the claims, stating, "If the lawsuit is as reported by TMZ, it is completely false and frivolous." He added confidence in resolving the matter in Minaj's favor.

Garrett described the incident in detail, claiming Minaj said, “If my husband was here, he would knock out your f—ing teeth,” before striking him. Garrett locked himself in a restroom for hours following the encounter and later filed a police report. He is now seeking punitive and general damages.

The complaint includes allegations of threats and emotional distress, with Garrett asserting he feared for his safety following the event. Minaj has yet to comment publicly on the lawsuit, but her team is prepared to dispute the claims.
