Election tribunals pick up pace

ISLAMABAD:

The Free and Fair Election Network (Fafen) has said that the election tribunals decided 51 petitions between November 16 and December 31, 2024, bringing the total of decided petitions to 101 or 27% of the total cases.

Fafen said in its election tribunal update that its systematic tracking of election disputes suggested that 377 petitions had

been filed with the 23 tribunals across the country, out of which 370 had been tracked.

So far, Fafen said that around one-third of result disputes had been decided.
