The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a warning to the public regarding disruptions in internet services across the country, Express News reported.
A fault has been reported in the AAe-1 submarine cable, located near Qatar, which is one of the seven cables handling Pakistan's international internet traffic.
PTA confirmed that the malfunction in the undersea cable could affect internet and broadband services for users nationwide. Efforts are currently underway by the relevant teams to address the issue.
In a statement, the PTA assured that it is closely monitoring the situation and will continue to provide updates to consumers. The authority has also requested cooperation from the public, urging patience until the service is fully restored.
