Air Vice Marshal Amir Hayat has been reappointed as the CEO of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), according to a notification issued by the Pakistani government. Hayat will serve as the acting CEO until a permanent appointment is made.
The decision comes after the PIA Board of Directors recommended his appointment. Prior to this, Khurram Mushtaq had been handling the responsibilities as the acting CEO of PIA.
In a related development, Khurram Mushtaq has been appointed the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PIA, while Inamullah Qureshi will assume the role of Chief of Training and Development. Qureshi had previously been serving as the acting CEO of the national airline.
The restructuring is part of a broader management overhaul at PIA aimed at strengthening its operations and performance.
