The Ontario Labor Ministry is investigating an alleged industrial accident that occurred on the set of Beast Games, an Amazon Prime series led by YouTuber Jimmy "MrBeast." According to a CP24 report cited by journalist Steven Asarch, the incident happened on September 11, 2024, at a Toronto filming site. A 6x6-foot piece of wood reportedly fell from a constructed tower in a miniature village, injuring a crew member who remains hospitalized.

The ministry confirmed that requirements were issued to the employers, Blink 49 Studios and Manhattan Beach Studios, though specific details remain undisclosed due to the ongoing investigation. The extent of the injuries has also not been shared.

This investigation comes amid prior reports of safety concerns during Beast Games production. In a Rolling Stone article, Asarch detailed similar allegations, and YouTuber Rosanna Pansino hinted at more revelations regarding the show’s working conditions.

MrBeast addressed earlier accusations in a December 2024 behind-the-scenes video, denying claims of broken bones and hush money. He emphasized that many of the circulating allegations about Beast Games were inaccurate.

As of now, MrBeast has not commented on the labor ministry’s investigation. The incident has added to the scrutiny surrounding the series, raising further questions about its production practices.
