Nicki Minaj is reportedly expecting her second child with husband Kenneth Petty, five years after their marriage.
According to Media Take Out, the couple has been trying for another child for weeks, with the news kept private due to their previous difficult pregnancy. The couple, known for their preference for privacy, has not officially confirmed the pregnancy yet. However, a close friend of Nicki’s revealed that both the artist and her baby are doing well, with Kenneth being a supportive and attentive husband during this time.
Nicki, 42, and Kenneth, 46, married in October 2019, and in July 2020, she revealed that they were expecting their first child. Their son, affectionately called "Papa Bear," was born on September 30, 2020. Although Nicki has kept most of her family life out of the spotlight, she shared some details during an Instagram Live session in September, where she mentioned that she almost named her son after the Jamaican dancehall icon Ninja Man. While she was fond of the name, Kenneth disagreed, and they ultimately chose the name "Papa Bear."
In a November 2023 Vogue interview, Nicki also shared that her son’s first nickname was "Bubba" before transforming into "Papa Bear." Despite her strong attachment to nicknames, she explained that the name change just felt right once she saw her son.
