A constable was injured due to firing by robbers during a police encounter at Sargodha Road. The armed suspects managed to escape, while the injured police constable was shifted to the hospital.
The CPO formed teams under the leadership of SP Madina Town to arrest the suspects.
According to the details, ASI Kanwal Abbas was patrolling in an official vehicle of Nishatabad Police Station along with Maqsood and two other officials when they signaled to stop two suspicious persons on Sargodha Road.
The suspects opened fire from a repeater, as a result of which police constable Maqsood Ahmed sustained bullet injuries on his right leg.
Police officers reached the spot upon information, surrounded the area and conducted a search operation, but the armed suspects managed to escape on foot taking advantage of the darkness and fog of the night.
CPO Faisalabad DIG Kamran Adil took cognizance of the matter, sought a report from SP Madina Town Saad Arshad and formed teams to arrest the culprits.
