Prisons Department: Home secretary too busy with dengue to reply

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday allowed the home secretary more time to reply to a petition challenging the appointment of Kokab Nadeem Warraich as inspector general of prisons in Punjab. Earlier, a law officer informed Justice Umar Ata Bandial that the secretary was engaged in the campaign to fight dengue.

The judge adjourned the hearing till September 29. Meanwhile, a lawyer filed a letter of attorney for the IG and sought time to file his reply.
