Hannah Berner, known for her sharp wit and time on Summer House, delivered a headline-grabbing moment in Netflix’s newest roast special, Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year. The special, released on December 27, featured comedians reflecting on notable moments of the past year, including Berner’s surprising jab at Blake Lively.

“The word c–t was trending this year. I don’t think Blake Lively was that bad,” Berner quipped, referencing past interviews with Lively that resurfaced earlier this year and drew mixed reactions from fans.

The joke gained attention as it comes during Lively’s lawsuit, filed last week, which accuses It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni of inappropriate behavior on the set, including sexual harassment and an alleged effort to harm her reputation online. The complaint outlines claims of Baldoni conspiring with his public relations team to create and circulate negative content about the actress. Baldoni’s attorney has dismissed the accusations as “categorically false.”

Berner's comment, however, was filmed before the legal dispute as clarified by the comedian who took to Instagram after the special’s release and wrote, “My joke in the Netflix roast was filmed before the news of the lawsuit. To be 100 percent clear, I support Blake xoxo.”

The special, recorded on December 17, includes comedians offering sharp commentary on notable moments from 2024. Blake Lively’s team has not commented on Berner’s remark or the ongoing legal case.
