Police have arrested a man for allegedly killing his son during a family dispute.
The incident occurred on December 21 in Suraj Miani, where Zafar Abbas Abbas shot his son Qamar Abbas and injured his daughter-in-law Sheereen Zara amid tensions surrounding Qamar's marriage and his estranged wife's return for a family wedding.
SSP Operations Kamran Amir Khan stated that Zafar Abbas was attempting to flee to Balochistan when police apprehended him.
During interrogation, the accused confessed not only to the murder of his son but also to a 28-year-old murder case involving his uncle, for which he had been a fugitive since 1996.
