Three individuals, including two women, ended their lives in separate cases reported across different areas of Faisalabad on Thursday.
The police completed legal formalities and handed over the bodies to their families.
In the first incident, Urooj Fatima, a 22-year-old resident of Mohalla Fatehabad on Satyana Road within the jurisdiction of the Peoples Colony Police Station, reportedly set herself on fire due to mental distress.
She was rushed to the Burn Unit at Allied Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to her injuries after a brief struggle for life. Police officials visited the site and, following investigations, released the body to her family.
In another case, 20-year-old Anees, the son of Asghar and a resident of Chak No. 86 Girala under Roshanwala Police Station, reportedly took his own life by shooting himself.
The suicide is believed to have been triggered by a domestic dispute. Upon receiving information, SHO Roshanwala, Waseem Sahu, and his team arrived at the scene and, after necessary inquiries, handed the deceased's body to his family.
The third incident involved Attia, 16, allegedly shot herself in the forehead with a gun for reasons yet unknown.
