Karachi is experiencing clear skies and cooler temperatures this week as winter intensifies across Sindh.
The minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 11.8°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to be 24°C and the minimum 10°C over the next 24 hours.
Daytime conditions remain sunny with mild temperatures, while nights have become significantly cooler.
Neighbouring areas such as Thatta and Badin also report cold nights, with Badin reaching lows of 9°C and higher humidity levels of 87%.
Meanwhile, inland regions like Dadu and Larkana are witnessing some of the chilliest nights, with minimum temperatures plummeting to 6-8°C.
Thatta is experiencing mostly sunny weather, with temperatures ranging between 11-13°C and humidity levels around 60-70%.
Hyderabad continues to have clear skies and chilly weather, with minimum temperatures dropping to 11-13°C. Meanwhile, Mirpurkhas stands out as one of the coldest areas in the region, with temperatures ranging from 7-9°C and humidity peaking at 87%.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast no significant rainfall for Karachi or surrounding areas in the coming days. The clear, sunny weather, typical of the winter season, is expected to persist, offering ideal conditions for outdoor activities.
As Karachiites brace for colder nights, residents are advised to take necessary precautions, especially for vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly, to avoid cold-related health issues.
Earlier, strong winds on December 24 and 25, with gusts reaching speeds of 25 to 35 km/h, were predicted for Karachi as forecasted by Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz.
