Private schools barred from collecting advance fees

The letter also clarified that separate fee vouchers for each month should be issued to the students.

KARACHI:

Sindh Education Department has directed the private schools not to charge additional advance fees from students. Directorate of Inspection and Private Institutions has issued a letter in this regard.

According to the letter, as per the decision of the Steering Committee, the academic year 2025-26 will start from April 1, 2025. It has been further stated that to facilitate parents and students and save them from financial difficulties, tuition fees from matriculation students will be collected only up to April.

From pre-primary to class IX as well as from the students who have been promoted from class IX to class X, the fees for June and July can be collected in April and May.

The letter also clarified that separate fee vouchers for each month should be issued to the students. June fee vouchers will be payable by June 30 while July fee vouchers will be payable by July 31.
