Security beefed up across Punjab

Police have finalised the security plan for Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam Day.

Over 30,000 police officers and personnel will be deployed for the security of more than 2,900 churches across the province, including Lahore. Over 5,000 police officers and personnel will be assigned security duties at more than 600 Christian places of worship in the provincial capital.

Over 1,000 police personnel will be deployed for the security of programs held on Quaid-e-Azam Day. Female police officers will also be deployed for checking female citizens during Christmas and Quaid-e-Azam Day. The churches have been categorized into A, B, and C categories based on their sensitivity.
