Young opening batsman Saim Ayub, who made waves with his impressive performances during the South Africa and Australia tours, gained further recognition after his first interview following a victory at the Under-15 cricket tournament in India.

The interview, given after the team's triumph, went viral on social media.

In an appearance on Express Entertainment’s morning show hosted by Javeria Saud, Saim shared insights about his journey in the early days of his cricket career.

During the interview, Saim, along with his team, reflected on the success of the Under-15 tournament held in India, which saw the participation of teams from Bahrain, Pakistan, and 10 Indian states.

In the event held in Chennai, Pakistan emerged victorious by defeating the host team.

Saim Ayub played a pivotal role throughout the tournament, scoring 250 runs across five matches, including a top score of 80.

He was joined by fellow rising star, young cricketer Khawaja Nafees, who had represented Quetta Gladiators in the recent edition of the Pakistan Super League.

During the interview, Javeria Saud highlighted the immense potential of the young players.

Meanwhile renowned actor Aijaz Aslam predicted that many of them would go on to represent Pakistan in future cricket events.

Saim Ayub played a key role in Pakistan's dominant performance against South Africa in a three-match ODI series.

In the first match at Boland Park, Ayub scored a brilliant 109 off 119 balls, leading Pakistan to a thrilling 3-wicket victory.

Agha Salman also contributed with an all-round performance and handed his Player of the Match award to Ayub in recognition of his outstanding innings.

Ayub continued his stellar form in the series, smashing his second century in the third ODI at Wanderers Stadium.

His remarkable performance of 235 runs and two wickets in the series earned him the titles of Player of the Match and Player of the Series, as Pakistan completed a 3-0 clean sweep.

Ayub's stunning century and his key role in dismissing South Africa's David Miller were highlights of the final match.
