Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday made unannounced visits to the 24/7 passport office at Awami Markaz and the NADRA mega centre in Defence to assess their operations and services.
During his visits, the minister interacted with citizens who were present to renew passports and obtain national identity cards. Many citizens praised the efficiency of the system and expressed their satisfaction.
"I came for passport renewal, and the process was completed within minutes without any hassle or waiting," said one of the visitors.
Naqvi assured that delays in issuing passports were being addressed and assured that passports would now be delivered within the stipulated time frame. He also issued on-the-spot directives to resolve specific issues related to citizens' identity cards.
The minister took time to meet the staff at the passport office and NADRA centre, commending their performance. He said he was committed to ensuring improved services for the public.
"I am conducting these visits to enhance convenience for citizens at passport offices and NADRA centres."
Naqvi also ordered improvements in the cleanliness standards at the NADRA mega centre in Defence.
