Sheheryar Munawar and Maheen Siddiqui's wedding celebrations are nowhere near over. The newest event on their list happened to be a one-of-a-kind qawwali night, led by none other than maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Sheheryar took to Instagram to share glimpses from the night, with pictures capturing him cosying up with his bride-to-be.
"Endless gratitude to our wonderful friends ... for giving us an unforgettable qawwali night!" he wrote in the caption. "The music, the laughter, and most of all, the joy of having both family and friends together made the evening truly magical. A special thank you to the legendary [Rahat Fateh Ali Khan] for filling the air with his mesmerising qawwali, blessing us with soulful music that made this moment even more extraordinary."
While Sheheryar wore a light-toned shalwar kameez topped with a golden vest, Maheen stunned in a navy dress embellished with matching golden embroidery and jhumki of neck-brushing length. The two posed together and also with guests as they enjoyed the roar of the musical night.
Pictures from the star-studded evening dazzled fans who were given yet another opportunity to gush over the couple. "You guys are looking so adorable. The wardrobe is amazing," wrote a user in the comments section. Others even sent a wave of prayers their way, hoping for a fruitful journey for the couple ahead.
Earlier, the two actors' wedding festivities kicked off with a spirited dholki night that took social media by a storm. A video showcasing the couple celebrating in high spirits went viral, attracting warm wishes from fans and admirers.
The Ho Mann Jahaan actor was seen beaming with joy, his contagious smile stealing the show as he danced to the dhol and posed for pictures with family and friends. On the other hand, Maheen stunned in an elegant orange and yellow traditional ensemble, complementing Sheheryar's classic brown kurta that featured intricate embroidery around the neckline.
The intimate gathering was held over the weekend and featured close family members, dear friends, and several big names from the entertainment industry. Guests like director Asim Raza, Mahira Khan, and Momal Sheikh were spotted enjoying the festivities, with glimpses of the event circulating widely on social media and local news platforms.
Music took centre stage at the dholki, with renowned singers Ali Hamza and Jimmy Khan serenading the attendees. The night marked the perfect start to what promises to be a grand celebration.
What followed a lot of rumours, speculation and him beating around the bush, the actor finally went public regarding his love life in August. Sheheryar displayed affection for fellow actor Maheen, calling her his "jaan (beloved)" in an Instagram post. This public declaration further fuelled excitement among fans, who have been rooting for the duo ever since rumours of their relationship began earlier this year.
In July, before his marriage was confirmed, during an appearance on the FWhy Podcast, Sheheryar was asked whether there's any truth to these claims. While he did not confirm or deny the speculation, he expressed his gratitude and requested prayers.
"What I will say is that Alhamdulillah I'm grateful. I'm very grateful. I'm happy. Allah has been kind, and the parents are very happy," shared the Parey Hut Love star.
"Exciting times are ahead, and I would ask everyone to say a little prayer for us. I just feel, as I've mentioned before, that I want this to be a very personal experience for both of usand private."
