Armed attack on journalist sparks outrage

An armed man opened fire with the intention of killing a member of the Crime Reporters Association and a member of a private TV channel, Naveed Kamal, in the second incident of intolerance in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Luckily, no one was injured in the incident.

Kamal recounted the harrowing incident where he was taking his ailing father to the hospital. As they waited at the Rab Medical traffic signal, a car driver, eager to make a U-turn, began honking impatiently. When Naveed pointed out that the driver was approaching from the wrong direction, the driver became enraged, pulled out a pistol, and threatened him.
