Daniel Stern, best known as the bumbling Wet Bandit Marv from the holiday classic Home Alone, has traded Hollywood’s spotlight for the tranquility of farm life. The actor now spends his days raising cattle, growing tangerines, and sculpting at his ranch in Ventura, California.
In a recent TikTok video, Stern, 66, offered fans a glimpse of his serene life. “Hello, as you will come to discover, I live on a farm, and we grow tangerines here,” he said, showing his workstation where he juices the fruit to share with friends.

Stern’s artistic side also takes center stage at his farm. In another TikTok post, he revealed a detailed sculpture he’s been working on, depicting a woman lying on a chair.
@realdanielstern0 I thought I would share this work in-progress video of a new sculpture I am creating. Thinking of naming it Dancer On A Chair, unless any of you have a better idea… Follow my backup account @Daniel Stern #foryou #goviral #clayart #danielstern

This transition to farm life and art follows an impressive Hollywood career. Stern starred in hits like Home Alone, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, and City Slickers. Reflecting on his role in Home Alone, Stern admitted he almost missed out on playing Marv due to contractual disagreements. The producers, however, urged him to return after a recast didn’t work out, and Stern remains grateful for the opportunity.
Stern’s memoir, Home and Alone, released earlier this year, offers further insights into his life and career.
