Disaster Management: Ten UCs in Thatta ‘calamity hit’

HYDERABAD: Ten union councils of Mirpur Bathoro and Jati tehsils were declared calamity hit as 491 villages were inundated. EDO Revenue Dr Hafeez Ahmed Siyal said that 200 families from Badin and 70 families arrived from Badin and Mirpukhas on Monday. Culture Minister Sassui Palijo ordered the irrigation department to address the backflow of water from the Mirpur Sakro Outfall Drain.
