Lyallpur Museum director attacked outside court
Dozens of people including lawyers attacked Lyallpur Museum Director Imran Raza in the Sessions Court where he had arrived for hearing of a case. Civil Lines Police reached the spot and started action.
Raza appeared in the court of the District and Sessions Judge in his brother's case.
During this, lawyers and Lady Police Constable Nazia Inayat along with their other colleagues attacked him and injured him.
They also snatched his mobile phone and documents.
Imran Raza was also injured during the attack. Civil Lines Police reached the spot and started action.
Police said Imran Raza had come in connection with his brother's ongoing case in the Family Court, when Lady Constable Nazia and her fellow lawyers made him a target for violence and injured him, against which police action is being taken.
Police have registered an a First Information Report (FIR) of the incident and launched investigation.
Meanwhile, on the instructions of RPO Dr Abid Khan, a security plan has been issued across the region regarding Christmas.
As many as 339 religious rituals ceremony will be held in Faisalabad district, 9 in Jhang district, 89 in Toba Tek Singh district and 2 in Chiniot district.
Security duty will be deployed in three layers on the occasion of Christmas.
Security arrangements will be made foolproof across the region regarding Christmas.
Elite force troops will ensure effective surveillance on important roads and especially around churches.
Monitoring will be done with CCTV cameras around churches. Complete checking will be done on the entrance and exit routes of the city.
Expert snipers will be deployed on the roofs of churches.
Walk-through gates will be installed on the entrance routes and those participating in Christmas rituals will be searched with metal detectors. Those trying to create any kind of unrest will be detained.
He said that there is no other priority than the protection of the lives and property of the people.
