Another Punjab Rangers official has succumbed to injuries sustained during violent protests on November 25 and 26 in Islamabad.
Lance Naik Muhammad Tanvir, 37, a resident of Narowal district, passed away after spending weeks in a coma.
He had been serving Pakistan Rangers Punjab for 17 years, dedicating his life to the defence of the homeland.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, and three daughters.
The protests, led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), reportedly turned violent, resulting in significant damage to public property and endangering the lives of law enforcement personnel.
Authorities have reported that the death toll among Rangers personnel from the unrest has now risen to four, with numerous others injured.
In addition to the Rangers' losses, two Punjab police personnel were martyred, and 119 others sustained injuries.
Islamabad police also reported serious injuries to 11 of its personnel during the clashes.
