
A disturbing video doing rounds on the social media has laid bare the brutal face of police killing a suspect in cold blood; though he had thrown away his pistol raised hands and was begging for mercy.
The CCTV footage of cops killing a suspected motorcycle snatcher during a chase near Purdah Park on New MA Jinnah Road has gone viral. It can be seen that instead of arresting him, police kept firing at the suspect even when he had slipped and fallen from his bike.
The alleged motorcycle snatcher, Munir Bilal, was killed in the jurisdiction of Jamshed Quarters police station on Tuesday morning. The footage shows Munir being chased by police officials on another motorcycle.
The suspect throws his pistol after spotting police, but the officials kept firing at him, due to which Munir falls off the bike. Even after he fell, the officials continued firing at him. The deceased suspect is seen pleasing with his clasped hands. A large number of citizens gathered at the spot after the incident.
Police are meant to arrest the suspect and take him to the court. It is not their task to deliver death penalty, nevertheless, Jamshed Quarter police claim that the alleged suspect was a habitual criminal.
