In a series of coordinated operations across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, security forces killed 11 terrorists, including members of the Khawarij, the military’s media wing reported on Wednesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation took place in Tank District, where intelligence led forces to target the presence of Khawarij. During the operation, security personnel engaged the terrorist group, resulting in the death of seven militants.
In a second operation in the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan District, security forces clashed with militants in an exchange of fire, killing two more Khawarij.
A third encounter occurred in Mamad Gat, Mohmand District, where two more militants were killed following an intense firefight.
The ISPR confirmed that weapons and ammunition were seized from the slain militants, who had been involved in various terrorist activities targeting both security forces and civilians.
Sanitsation operations are currently underway in the region to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining terrorists, as the military vows to continue its efforts to rid Pakistan of terrorism, the statement concluded.
