Rain Damage: Special health task force revived

KARACHI: A special task force is being set up under Dr Jehanzeb of PIMS, announced Qamar-uz Zaman Kaira, who is heading the prime minister’s committee on rain damage. The health of rain victims living in the camps is a big challenge for the government. “We had formed this kind of task force during the flash floods last year, and it yielded positive results when it came to preventing different kinds of diseases,” he said. “We are following the same practice.” The federal government would also set up field hospitals in Benazirabad and Badin and there are enough stocks of medicines.
