Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said that he awaits instructions from PTI Founder Imran Khan regarding a civil disobedience movement. He also criticised his denial of access to meet Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, asserting that as a representative of the province, he does not require "clearance."
Gandapur issued this statement after appearing before the Peshawar High Court which extended his protective till January 16, instructing authorities not to arrest him in any registered cases.
The court also issued a notice to the National Accountability Bureau regarding details of cases registered against the chief minister. A two-member bench, comprising Justice Sahibzada Asadullah and Justice Waqar Ahmed, heard the petitions regarding the protective bail and details of the cases. Advocates Alam Khan Adeenzai and Ali Zaman represented the petitioner, while Deputy Attorney General Hazrat Syed appeared on behalf of the federation and Prosecutor Hashmat Jahangir represented NAB.
The petitioner's counsel informed the court that Ali Amin Gandapur had requested details of cases registered against him, particularly those filed after protests at D Chowk. "Gandapur wishes to appear before the relevant courts, but the details of these cases have not been provided."
