A student was killed and a passer-by injured over a dispute over the return of a mobile phone.

Police said a 20-year-old student, Wakeel Khan Niamatullah, a student of a seminary located in the limits of the police station Millat Town, bought a mobile phone from Awan Mobile Shop Bawa Chak a few days ago.

As the mobile phone was not working, he went to the mobile shop along with his friend Nizam Deen Yaseen and asked shopkeeper Babar Saleem and his brother Khurram Saleem to take back the mobile phone.

On which both the brothers opened fire while quarreling with Wakeel Khan. As a result of which Wakeel Khan died on the spot due to a bullet hit in the head, while a passer-by Shahbaz Niaz resident Bawa Chak was injured in the firing, who was shifted to the hospital after medical assistance.

Taking action, the police took the two accused into custody, registered a case and handed over the body to the family members after postmortem.

In another incident, due to a domestic dispute, a woman killed her husband by putting noose around his neck and pretend as suicide.

A 26-year-old man, Mudassir Ali, was tortured by his wife, Tehmina Bibi, son of Mohammad Akbar, resident of Liaquat Town with the help of his unknown friend and killed him by putting noose around his neck and staged suicide drama by hanging the dead body with the girder.

The police handed over the dead body to his heirs and registered a case on the statement of Ghulam Yaseen and started searching for the deceased's wife.
