Manchester City posts record $903.7m revenue

ISTANBUL:

Manchester City announced a record-breaking revenue of $903.7 million and a profit of $92 million in their most recent annual financial report. These figures reflect the club's highest-ever earnings, marking the third consecutive year of unprecedented financial performance.

Club Chair Khaldoon Al Mubarak attributed this success to meticulous planning and a strong organisational culture. "Our relentless ambition to achieve the unprecedented defines who we are as a club," he stated. "On and off the pitch, our drive for the next challenge is rooted in thoughtful preparation and the collaborative learning culture we have cultivated."

The club's on-field success further bolstered its reputation, with Manchester City claiming the English Premier League title for the fourth consecutive year in a historic 2023-24 season.

Thes achievement was part of a remarkable run, during which City became the first football club to simultaneously hold the English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup.

Founded in 1880 as St. Mark’s (West Gorton), Manchester City underwent various transformations before adopting its current name in 1894. The club experienced periods of success in the 20th century, including winning the English league title in 1937 and 1968.

A resurgence began in 2008 with new ownership, which saw significant investment in players and facilities.

Since then, City has established itself as a dominant force in English and European football, combining on-pitch excellence with a forward-thinking approach to business and community engagement.
