Tom Holland has launched his production company, Billy17, and signed a major producing deal with Sony Pictures.

Alongside his brother Harry Holland and producer Will South, Holland plans to develop several high-profile projects. The first of these is an original film titled Burnt, which Holland envisions as a starring vehicle for himself. The screenplay for Burnt will be written by Academy Award winner Rodney Rothman, best known for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

In addition to Burnt, Billy17 will also produce an adaptation of Graeme Simsion’s bestseller The Rosie Project for TriStar Pictures. The team will work alongside Matt Tolmach and Michael Costigan from Jason Bateman's Aggregate Films banner. Another exciting project in the works is an adaptation of Teddy Wayne’s novel The Winner, which will also feature Holland in the lead role.

Holland shared his excitement about launching Billy17, stating, "It’s been an ambition of mine to take this step for some time now, and we’re incredibly excited to bring entertaining, rewatchable movies to the big screen." Sony Pictures’ Tom Rothman echoed Holland’s enthusiasm, praising the trio’s creative energy and the promising future of their collaboration.

The deal marks another chapter in Holland's long-standing relationship with Sony, which includes his successful roles in Spider-Man and Uncharted. With a growing slate of projects, Billy17 is poised to make a significant impact in the film industry
