Some of the year’s finest television took us to iconic locations like Gotham, feudal Japan, and even the chaotic floor of a London investment bank. After a turbulent 2023 marked by budget cuts, mergers (or possible mergers), and months of labor strikes, Hollywood was eager to bounce back with a flood of exciting TV in 2024.

While the days of “Peak TV” may be winding down, you wouldn’t know it from the multitude of shows that premiered this year. Some were delayed due to strikes, while others were long-awaited adaptations, spin-offs, and, yes, some genuinely fresh concepts ready to capture our attention. Of course, we were excited to welcome back fan favorites like Bridgerton, Abbott Elementary, and The Diplomat, but just as thrilled to dive into debuts like Shōgun, Say Nothing, and Baby Reindeer.
