Security forces killed seven terrorists in Miran Shah and Spinwam areas of North Waziristan District in two separate operations, in which one serviceman also embraced martyrdom.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence based operation was conducted by the security forces in general area Miran Shah, North Waziristan District on reported presence of Khwarij. During the conduct of operation, troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location, resulting in the killing of four of them, stated the ISPR.
In another encounter that took place in general area Spinwam, North Waziristan District, troops successfully neutralized three more Khwarij. However, during the intense fire exchange, Lance Naik Muhammad Amin embraced Shahadat. The 34-year-old martyred soldier was a resident of Faisalabad District, added the ISPR press release.
Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism, "and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve," concluded the ISPR press release.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for killing seven Khawarij during two separate operations in North Waziristan district.
In separate statements, the president and prime minister praised the bravery of the security forces for eliminating the terrorists.
They also paid homage to Lance Naik Muhammad Amin Shaheed for embracing martyrdom while bravely confronting terrorists.
