As Jay-Z's sexual assault lawsuit continues to make headlines, rapper Slim Thug took to Instagram Live on Monday, December 9, 2024, to voice his belief that Jay-Z is not guilty.

Calling out what he sees as a pattern of targeting successful Black men, Slim Thug stated:
"JAY-Z is not guilty. I don't believe that sh*t. We'll continue to see motherf*ckers try to take down Black billionaires. And everybody gonna cheer him on. For allegations. No criminal cases or none of that sh*t."

He also criticized lawyers and accused them of engaging in extortion, saying: "I’ve been telling y’all how them lawyers do. I already know how that s**t go. They try to get money, get motherf**kers to settle because they know public opinion gonna kill them anyway. Whether you’re innocent or not, by the time the blogs get done, you’re gonna to be."

Slim Thug’s remarks supporting Shawn Corey Carter came just days after the accuser, identified as Jane Doe, amended her lawsuit to include Jay-Z as a defendant. The lawsuit, initially filed in October 2023, originally named only Diddy, also known as Sean Combs.

The amended lawsuit, filed by Jane Doe and her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, now alleges that Jay-Z was involved in the r*pe of the accuser when she was just 13 years old.

A day after Jane Doe and Tony Buzbee refiled the lawsuit to include Carter, Jay-Z filed a motion to dismiss the case.

The rapper denied all allegations and argued that the accuser should be required to reveal her identity. He also accused her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, of attempting extortion and described the situation as a "sprawling extortion saga driven by financial motives."

In the motion, Jay-Z stated: "When Defendant refused to pay and instead took measures to establish his innocence, this unnamed Plaintiff and her self-promoting counsel (whose name has been splashed across headlines and press conferences under auspices of representing her) went to extraordinary lengths to shut down fair defence. But those efforts, too, failed."
