In less than a month, Hollywood’s biggest night will arrive with the 82nd Annual Golden Globe Awards. The iconic Grand Ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles will be packed with stars on Sunday, January 5, 2025, ready to celebrate the best of film and television.

It’s been an impressive year for cinema, with Anora bagging the Palme d'Or at Cannes and catapulting Mikey Madison into the spotlight, Wicked breaking box office records, and The Substance captivating audiences with its whimsical absurdity. On the small screen, Shōgun has already earned major Emmy acclaim, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story has gone viral, and Hacks delivered another binge-worthy season.

The nominations for the Golden Globes rolled in earlier today, with Emilia Pérez leading the pack with 10 nominations, including Best Motion Picture, Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy, Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role, and Best Screenplay, among others. Fans now anxiously await the ceremony, where glittering gowns, heartfelt speeches, and a few wild moments are guaranteed—after all, it's one of the few awards shows where alcohol is served.

Last year’s event saw Ayo Edebiri from The Bear offering a hilarious shout-out to the industry’s unsung heroes, Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner sharing a rare public PDA, Gillian Anderson making a bold fashion statement in a gown covered in vaginas, and Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift causing a stir with a viral gossiping video.
