Corruption consuming progress, hollowing out govt system: CM
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has stated that corruption has 'spread like cancer in our society, not only consuming our progress but also hollowing out the government system.'
In his message on International Anti-Corruption Day, Murad Ali Shah mentioned that this year's theme, "Uniting with Youth against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow's Integrity," calls for a leadership role for youth in the fight against corruption.
He urged the youth to rise against corruption today to safeguard the nation's "tomorrow," emphasising the collective effort needed to battle corruption. He called on the public to support the government in this fight.
The Sindh Chief Minister further stated that the Sindh government follows a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and has strengthened the Anti-Corruption Department. The department has uncovered several scandals and ensured that the culprits face justice.
Chinese delegation
A 15-member Chinese business delegation met with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to explore investment opportunities in the province's various sectors.
The meeting highlighted the potential for collaboration in agriculture, renewable energy, livestock, and industrial production.
The meeting was held at the CM House and was attended by provincial ministers Sharjeel Memon and Nasir Shah, as well as other officials, including Syed Qasim Naveed, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rahim Shaikh, and Khurram Shahzad, Secretary of Investment.
