Rapper Dave Blunt (real name Davion Blessing) is making headlines not just for his music but for his incredible resilience and dedication to his craft.

The 23-year-old artist, who has been open about his ongoing health struggles, is currently going viral after posting a video of himself recording his latest track from a hospital bed.

Despite weighing an estimated 500 pounds and battling severe obesity-related health problems, Blunt has shown his commitment to his music career in a truly unique way.

The viral clip, which surfaced earlier this week, shows Blunt hooked up to an oxygen tank while working on his new song.

Blunt, who has previously been open about his struggles with lean, an illegal drug concoction, and his poor diet, has been in and out of the hospital in recent months.

Doctors have raised serious concerns about his health, particularly his weight, which is believed to be contributing to a range of conditions, including asthma and heart problems.

In fact, during a recent performance at JUICE WRLD DAY in Chicago, Blunt had to perform while seated, wearing an oxygen tank.

"It's definitely me doing it to myself," Blunt said in a recent interview, acknowledging the role his lifestyle choices have played in his health decline. “I just eat everything," he admitted, highlighting his struggles with overeating and maintaining a healthy routine.

However, he also shared that he is working on making lifestyle changes, hoping to take control of his health once his album drops and he can afford personal help like a trainer.

Doctors like Dr. Stuart Fischer have warned that Blunt’s weight is putting his life at risk. “When someone his age needs oxygen, we know something is wrong. This cannot go on forever,” Fischer stated. But despite his health battles, Blunt remains focused on his career.

In the post, Blunt can be seen lying in a hospital bed, headphones on, as he passionately works on his music, his oxygen tank by his side.

The track he's recording is expected to be part of his upcoming album, which has generated significant buzz in the hip-hop world. “Hopefully after this album drops, I can sign a deal and then I’ll have the money to get a personal trainer and all that s***,” he said, indicating his commitment to improving his health and career simultaneously.

The rapper's weight and lifestyle choices have sparked concern among fans, especially after a series of health scares that have led him to be hospitalized multiple times.

In addition to performing with an oxygen tank, Blunt has struggled with asthma and fatigue, often finding it difficult to move around or exercise. But even with these challenges, his drive to create music remains strong.

Blunt has shared that his struggles with weight are largely due to his inactivity and poor eating habits. "It’s more just like, laziness," he said. But in recent months, he has attempted to make changes, including trying extreme diets, such as only eating fruit for a month, and increasing his physical activity.

However, his health conditions, including chronic asthma and the weight of carrying 500lbs, make exercise difficult.

In addition to his diet, Blunt's reliance on lean, a drug cocktail of cough syrup, soda, and candy, has raised concerns. Known for its sedative effects, lean is notoriously addictive, and Blunt has admitted to using it regularly since he was 16.

The rapper has also spoken about using other drugs, such as Percocet, ecstasy, and Xanax, further complicating his already fragile health.
