Punjab's Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has set off for an official eight-day visit to China, becoming the first female Chief Minister of the province to visit the country.
Her visit, scheduled from December 8 to December 15, aims to strengthen ties between Pakistan and China, and explore opportunities for cooperation in various sectors.
Maryam Nawaz is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including senior provincial ministers such as Marium Aurangzeb (Senior Provincial Minister), Azma Zahid Bokhari (Minister for Information and Culture), Bilal Akbar (Minister for Transport), and Ashiq Kermani (Minister for Agriculture).
During her visit, the Chief Minister will tour major cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. She will engage in meetings with key Chinese officials, experts, and ministers to discuss bilateral cooperation, investment opportunities, and trade relations.
