Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to file a First Information Report (FIR) against the federal government over the protest held in Islamabad on November 26, Express News reported.

In a meeting of PTI's core committee, sources revealed that discussions were held regarding launching a civil disobedience movement.

A sub-committee was formed to deliberate on whether or not to proceed with the movement as the sub-committee is set to submit its report within 48 hours, with Barrister Gohar Ali Khan appointed as its head.

Additionally, during the core committee meeting, it was decided that an FIR would be filed against the government in relation to the November 26 protest.

A separate committee, led by former Attorney General Latif Khosa, has been formed to handle the registration of the FIR whereas the committee will also include prominent lawyers such as Naeem Haider Panjotha.

The meeting also highlighted that 146 PTI workers have gone missing following the November 26 protest.

The PTI protest began on November 24, when PTI caravans set off from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad. By November 26, the protestors reached D-Chowk, where security forces conducted a late-night operation to disperse the crowd and end the demonstration.
