According to her lawsuit, Kane was invited to New York by Harve Pierre, head of Bad Boy Entertainment, after a meeting in Detroit. She claims that, upon arriving at a recording studio, she was given alcohol and narcotics before being assaulted by Diddy in a restroom.

Kane has since released photos of the studio meeting, identifying herself in the images, though her face is blurred. These documents were disclosed after a judge required Kane to amend her lawsuit in order to continue. In her statement to TMZ, Kane emphasized her commitment to pursuing justice, rejecting attempts to intimidate her.

Before her involvement in this lawsuit, Anna Kane was known for her high-profile marriage to Evander Kane. The couple married in 2018 but separated in 2021 following allegations of gambling addiction and misconduct against Evander, leading to their divorce. The pair shares one child together.
