The 30th Critics Choice Awards TV nominations are here, and Shōgun is leading the pack with a remarkable six nominations. This follows the show’s recent Emmys success. Coming in strong with four nominations each are a mix of other popular shows, including Abbott Elementary (ABC), Disclaimer (Apple TV+), Hacks (HBO|Max), The Penguin (HBO|Max), The Diplomat (Netflix), and the final season of What We Do in the Shadows (FX).
Following closely are eight other programs with three nominations each, making the race quite competitive. In terms of networks, Netflix takes the lead with 23 nominations, with HBO|Max not far behind at 21. FX, including its partnership with Hulu, earned 20 nominations, while Apple TV+ bagged 12.
The nominations for film categories will be announced on December 12, while the awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, January 12, at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. E! will air the event live.
