A special anti-terrorism court handed over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Alamgir Khan to police on one-day physical remand in two cases of arson and rioting on May 9. Police on Thursday produced the PTI leader before the court at the Karachi Central Jail Anti-Terrorism Complex.
The court directed the police to produce the accused Alamgir in the next hearing before the concerned court.
Nazirullah Advocate, the lawyer of the PTI leader, said that his client's bail plea has also been filed.
According to the police, an arrest warrant was issued for Alamgir Khan in the case of arson and rioting. Alamgir's bail was canceled in two cases. He has been arrested in arson and rioting cases in Ferozabad and Tipu Sultan police stations.
Meanwhile, the special anti-terrorism court has sent the accused, Javed and Gul Nisa, to jail on judicial remand in the airport bomb blast case.
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police produced the accused before the court after the completion of their physical remand. The investigating officer (IO) did not request the physical remand of the accused.
The court sent both the accused to jail and ordered the IO to present the case challan at the next hearing.
