Valerie Bertinelli, the 64-year-old actress, has once again shown her strength in the face of body-shaming comments, embracing her journey to self-acceptance. The actress, known for her candid discussions on body image, took to Instagram to clap back at trolls who criticized her after she posted a mirror selfie in a bikini.

In her post, Bertinelli responded directly to the judgmental remarks, stating, "To all of you that would sit in judgment of my body, the photo, and my reason for posting it, I hope you find a place in your heart to not judge yourself as harshly as you judge others." She emphasized the importance of self-love, reflecting on her personal growth and her decision to prioritize happiness over external judgment.

Bertinelli shared that she has faced scrutiny about her appearance since she was a child, but it took her years to understand that her own judgment was the only one that truly mattered. "It's taken me almost 3 years of emotional labor to get to this point mentally," she admitted. "For the first time in my life, I love my body as it is."

Acknowledging the physical setbacks she faced earlier in the year, Bertinelli shared her gratitude for her body’s journey, stating that she wouldn't "trade this body for my 20-year-old body any day." Her message resonated with followers, encouraging them to focus on inner growth, kindness, and self-acceptance over outward appearance.

Valerie Bertinelli's bold stance serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of embracing our bodies, imperfections and all.
