A close aide of PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan revealed that he has denied any involvement of the establishment in the recent unrest in Islamabad, particularly the protest at D-Chowk, reported Express News on Monday.
Reports have surfaced that close sources to Barrister Gohar have disclosed critical information about the events surrounding PTI's November 24 'final' protest.
According to sources, Barrister Gohar revealed before a court meeting with the PTI founder that Imran Khan had given a 100% order to protest at Sangjani. He also shared that, contrary to any claims of institutional interference, the establishment was not to blame for the events in Islamabad.
Before the operation at D-Chowk, Barrister Gohar had tried to persuade PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur to attend the Sangjani protest. The sources added that as the situation began to spiral out of control, he decided to meet with Imran Khan in jail to reassess the plan.
The PTI chairman claimed that all matters with the establishment had been settled, and if the situation had not deteriorated, Imran Khan would have been released soon. However, due to the chaotic events and subsequent protests, this release was delayed.
