A new leaked audio from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and National Assembly member Ali Muhammad Khan has raised fresh concerns about internal disagreements within the party regarding the direction of its protests in Islamabad.

In the audioclip, Khan questions key decisions made by party leaders, including the role of PTI’s leadership in directing the Islamabad protest.

"Nobody, including Bushra Bibi, has the right to make decisions that override the orders of the party founder," he said. "We should have followed the instructions of our leader and remained in Sangjani, as originally planned," he added.

The clip, reportedly recorded during a PTI parliamentary party meeting, reveals Khan questioning why the protest was redirected to D-Chowk instead of the initially planned location of Sangjani.

He also expressed dissatisfaction with the decision to let Aleema Khan, rather than Barrister Gohar, announce the protest, contrary to the instructions from PTI’s founder and former chairman Imran Khan.

“I had expressed my concerns to the founder chairman that party decisions should be announced by the leadership, not by individuals like Aleema Khan,” said Ali Mohammad Khan in the recording.

“Imran Khan had clearly stated that there should be no dynastic leadership within the party. So, why did Aleema Khan take charge of announcing the protest?”

Khan also questioned the role of former prime minister Imran Khan in the decision-making process. He noted that while the PTI founder had directed the protesters to gather in Islamabad, the specific location had not been determined until later. "Imran Khan had told us that once the workers reached Islamabad, the location would be specified," he explained.

The PTI leader further expressed confusion over the shift to D-Chowk, questioning why the direction of the protest was changed from Sangjani to D-Chowk, particularly when the party leader had opposed separate protests in Sindh and Punjab.

He also criticised the involvement of Imran Khan’s wife, Bushra Bibi, in the protest, revealing that Imran Khan had been unaware of her participation. "Imran Khan did not know that Bushra Bibi had joined the protest. Barrister Gohar had to inform him," Khan added.

The leaked audio also revealed Khan’s belief that the party should have stuck to the original plan, which involved holding talks with the government while protesting in Sangjani.

Khan insisted that the leadership, including Imran Khan, had been clear on the strategy, and decisions made by other individuals, including Bushra Bibi, contradicted the founder's orders.

He concluded by emphasising that the PTI leadership should have adhered to the founder's orders and that Barrister Saif’s communication of Imran Khan’s instructions should have been followed to the letter.
