Bollywood actor Sharad Kapoor has been accused of molestation by a 32-year-old woman, who claims that he invited her to his home under the pretext of discussing a work-related project.

The woman alleges that Kapoor made inappropriate advances, sent lewd messages, and even attempted to assault her, Indian media reported.

The incident reportedly took place on November 26, 2024, when Kapoor allegedly invited the woman to his office to discuss video reels. Upon arrival, the woman claims that Kapoor was dressed inappropriately and made unwelcome advances towards her. The actress has further accused him of sending explicit messages, including a voice note, which added to her distress.

An FIR (First Information Report) has been filed against Kapoor under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, and he has been summoned by the police for questioning regarding the allegations. The police have initiated a formal investigation into the matter, Indian publication reported.

Sharad Kapoor, who made his Bollywood debut in 1994 with the film Mera Pyara Bharat, is known for his supporting roles and antagonist characters in films. His career includes notable films like Josh (where he starred alongside Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), Dastak, and Lakshya, in which he shared the screen with Hrithik Roshan. More recently, Kapoor appeared in the political drama Jai Ho, starring Salman Khan.

As of now, Kapoor has not issued any public statement regarding the allegations. Police officials are continuing their investigation, and the complainant has requested legal action to ensure accountability for the alleged incident.
