Looted money, weapons, car used in crime recovered

KARACHI:

The police have arrested two suspects, allegedly the members of Corolla gang, who shot and injured a citizen for resisting robbery. Looted money, weapons and the car used in the criminal activities were recovered from their possession.

According to the police, suspects Ashar and Yawar had shot and injured a citizen, Ali Raza, during a robbery in the Eidgah Ground Service Road Sector A, Qayyumabad. The accused had snatched Rs0.1 million, mobile phone and necessary documents from citizen Raza and fled.

The accused had used a black Corolla car during the robbery while they snatched another citizen's motorcycle and fled. The incident case, charge number 992/2024, crime section 392/397/34, has been registered at the Defence police station on the complaint of the injured citizen's brother.

The arrested accused have confessed to being involved in dozens of street crime incidents in Korangi and Defence areas. The accused had previously been involved in crimes in Sharafi Goth and were arrested from Korangi Industrial Area and sent to jail. Further interrogation of the arrested suspects is underway while raids are being conducted to arrest their accomplices.
